Fellow Toastmasters~

Despite a rainy Thursday, we had a nice turnout for our May 31 meeting, with both experienced and new members in attendance.

Heidi Lerfald (that would be me) led the meeting as first-time Toastmaster. It was all about summer during Table Topics as members answered questions regarding a possible Chicago Olympics in 2016, top tourst attractions in Chicago, and things to do during the 9 months of Chicago winter:-)

Bill White gave a great Ice Breaker speech ("6 of 7") as he talked about coming from a rather large family of seven children and the benefits of having so many siblings. Great job, Bill!

John McCarthy delivered is fifth speech entitled, "The High Cost of Weddings and Temporary Insanity." John showed all of the singles in the group exactly why they should elope to Vegas and save their $$$ :-) Thanks, John!

Our experienced members, Meg Mattsson and Scott Mochinski, both provided great evaluations for our speakers--and members!

The night ended with Officer Elections. The following individuals will take office beginning July 1. Please join me in congratulating them and wishing them luck this coming year:
