I was listenting to an audiobook called "100 Ways to Motivate Yourself" recently. I could directly connect two thoughts about fear and imagination from there to the public speaking experience for the beginner.

I tend to memorize my speeches word for word. The following speech was performed as a cooking show using stuffed animals and a kitchen setup. I try my best to make my speeches entertaining. I have found this to be the best way to get my message across, and keep an attentive audience. I have edited this speech somewhat for print.

I’ve been at our Toastmasters club for about half a year until I dared go in front of everyone and give my Icebreaker. I was scared, so scared! If you haven’t given an Icebreaker yet, you are probably scared too. “What from?” I was asking myself?
